    High complexity due to heterogeneous business areas on a common system (electrical household appliances, consumer electronics, kitchen & bathroom, construction management, service). Integration into a complex system landscape with business-critical peripheral systems and processes. More than 150 stores in three language areas. Zero-error tolerance due to the potential impact on the brand of the renowned specialist retail chain. Cut-over and migration planning as well as execution across all business areas and peripheral systems.

    Development of a comprehensive cut-over and migration concept across all business areas and systems. Risk reduction through staggering of cut-over activities. Early provisioning of production systems and early testing of various technical components and interfaces. Planning and coordination of the execution of more than 3'000 cut-over activities across all business units and systems. Organization of cut-over and tests and implementation of the lessons learned into the plan. Go Live in two big waves.

    Definition of preconditions and migration tests to ensure a smooth cut-over. Alignment of the migration activities with the master plan and organization of the data validation activities. Organization of go live tests to ensure the proper functioning of the most important business processes at Go Live. Specification of deadlines for data migration and validation. Resource planning and coordination for Cut-over, Go Live and Hypercare support for more than 120 people. Support of the Change Management in the gathering and implementation of resource and process changes across all business areas. Support of the Training Management in the creation of concepts and plans.

More stringent requirements on cut-over planning due to "Big Bang" Go Live Approach. "Seamless" cut-over for end customers and business. Zero error tolerance due to the possible impact on brand recognition of the world-renowned crystal jewelry manufacturer. Cut-over management and communication across various department and company boundaries.

Interworking of the manufacturing execution systems (MES systems). Complex supply chains owing to Europe-wide flow of goods including OEM and brand products. Increased complexity due to organizational changes, relocation of activities between sites, the merger of two business units and a split of another business unit. Introduction of the principal model as well as group-wide standardised processes and value flows. Implementation covering all business areas: Sales, Purchasing, Logistics, Manufacturing, Quality, After Sales, Finance & Controlling.

    Development and definition of the entire new testing and training methodology. Extensive conceptual and methodological work. Managing local test and training coordinators in application of the methodology and tools.

    Setting up a test tool to automate the testing activities as far as possible on the basis of SharePoint with defined workflows.

    Conception and definition of the methodology for preparing and executing the integration tests (end-to-end tests of the processes), the shop floor tests (tests in production), the pressure stress and volume tests (load tests), the user acceptance tests, the authorisation tests and the Europe-wide regression tests.

    Conception and definition of a need-driven training approach. Development of the methodology for preparing and implementing the key user training courses, the data and data validation tool training courses, the LAM (Local Application Manager) training courses for setting up the local support team and the end user training courses.

    Team Lead Development for Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements and Forms (RICEF) for the parallel cluster projects in the UK/Belgium/Holland and France.

    Stream Lead

    Interim Testing and Training Lead for the integration test of the cluster project UK/Belgium/Holland.

    Conception & methodology

    Setting up a program-wide multi-project resource planning including time and attendance reporting. Assisting the Cluster and Project Managers in elaborating the project schedules respecting all dependencies and milestones.

    Conception and definition of the fit/gap and development methodology from logging the gaps through to the finished, function-tested software using the change and release management system of the SAP Solution Manager.

    Conception and definition of the go-live support methodology using the SAP Solution Manager adapted specifically for this purpose as a ticket system.

    Conception and definition of the risk management methodology and implementation of regular risk assessments. Conception and definition of the open issue methodology using the SAP Solution Manager as a program-wide standardised tool for open issue management and both bottom-up and top-down transparency.
